Centre-ville & Esplanade

Centre-ville station

Built against the backdrop of the Sambre river, our station is located in Place Maurice Servais in the historic city centre of Namur, where pedestrian and shopping streets converge. The building can be accessed from the square or from Quai des Joghiers. The cable car itself is found on the first floor of this building. Stairs and an elevator take you directly to the boarding area and reception. Three six-seat cars slowly pull into the station every four minutes or so, allowing simple, safe and swift access. The doors close and the magic begins…Bon voyage!

In the future, a dining area will also be available in this building, including a panoramic terrace from which you can watch the silent comings and goings of the cabins as they fly towards the ramparts of the Citadel. A bicycle garage is also available on the ground floor. It can be accessed via Place Maurice Servais.

Station Esplanade

Our station at the top of the Citadel is located right at the edge of the esplanade, a very strategic location. Major events, such as concerts, sporting activities and more, take place here. The brand-new Digital Pavilion is right beside the cable car and most of the Citadel’s tourist attractions can be accessed very easily on foot.

The station is arranged in an open-air space around the platforms for boarding and alighting the cable car, which are covered by awnings. Our offices and the engine room are also located there. Three six-seat cars slowly pull into the station every four minutes or so, allowing simple, secure and swift access, just like the Centre-ville station.
